Rankin The….

Iconic British Photographer Rankin is in Stockholm!

Yesterday I went to see a preview of his first solo exhibition in Sweden, showing his most famous work from three decades as a leading force in portrait, beauty- and pop-culture photography. 

Rankin revolutionized Beauty Photography in the 90s with his bold and colourful expression.

He co-founded Dazed & Confused with Jefferson Hack in 1991 and later followed Another and Another Man.

Rankin has also created over 40 books and the biannual fashion & lifestyle print and digital platform HUNGER.

For me personally, living in London during the 90s, those publications and it´s  aesthetic dictated the style of the decade, and was a huge inspiration.

“This show – ‘Rankin: The…’ take some of my favourite images of all the genre’s I love most.

A kind of a “best of”, but with a more personal twist.”
