How aware are we about where we put our beauty waste? And what impact does our choices have on our planet?
Do you flush cotton rounds, Q- tips and tampons down the drain in the toilet?
Yesterday I learnt that in Stockholm only, 32 tons (!!) of wet wipes and tampons etc are flushed down the toilet. Every Week!
Thinking about what that number looks like globally, makes me dizzy.
Make it Last and Kicks.se have teamed up and designed an easy to read ,recycling guide for our bathrooms.
Not only do they enlighten and remind us on what goes where on the above poster, they also let us know where we can bring our half empty perfume flacons, expired nail varnish bottles, cracked powder palettes etc.
Some Kicks-stores welcome you to bring your half empty jars to their beauty recycle stations.
You can check here if your local store is participating!
If this feels overwhelming, start with baby steps, and put your cotton pads and tampons in a bin.
Not in the toilet!
