Pat Mcgrath är, och har varit världens mest eftertraktade och inflytelserika makeupartist i över 20 år.

Pat McGrath är brittisk och växte upp i Northampton med sin mamma Jean, som immigrerat till England från Jamaica.
Pat har ingen formell makeupartist-utbildning, utan hon berättar för Vogue 2007 att det är tack vare hennes mammas mode och skönhetsintresse, som Pat är där hon är idag.
På 1970 talet i England fanns knappt några foundations för mörkhyade. Fanns det några, så var de alldeles för grå i tonen. Pats mamma Jean, tog med Pat när hon gick och shoppade efter olika toner av foundation, för att sedan mixa till sin egen färg. Pat säger att det var hennes mamma som tränade henne i hur hon skalle tänka inför sin första modevisning:
– “Titta på färgerna, på tyget, på materialet. Titta efter makeupen i kläderna!” sa hon till Pat.

Numera är Pat McGrath känd för att göra de riktigt stora och viktiga modevisningarna. Hennes makeuplooks för Prada, Dior, Dolce Gabbana, Givenchy, Maison Margiela och John Galliano är numera ikoniska.

Hon medverkar också i de största reklamkampanjerna och tidningsjobben runtom i världen.

Pat McGrath är känd för sitt sätt att skapa en perfekt hud, med en fantastisk lyster i.

Pat McGrath fick sitt genombrott på 1990 talet när hon tillsammans med dåvarande moderedaktören Edward Enniful tog den engelska tidngningen I-D till en internationell nivå.

Under många år har Pat McGrath varit global creative designdirector för Proctor and Gamble. Hon har inte bara skapat makeup kollektioner för Max Factor och Cover Girl utan även Giorgio Armani, Dolce Gabbana och Gucci. Pat McGrath is, and has been the world’s most coveted and influential makeup artist for over 20 years.
She is both the future and the past, a constant innovator and she breaks all the beauty rules, but with a sophistication that is unattainable.
She is the greatest inspiration there is. Without competition.
Pat McGrath is the reason why I keep on, keeping on with what I do.

Pat McGrath is British and grew up in Northampton with her mother Jean, who immigrated to England from Jamaica.
Pat McGgrath has no formal makeupartist training, but she tells Vogue in 2007 that it is thanks to her mother’s fashion and beauty interest that Pat is where she is today.
In the 1970’s in England, there were hardly any foundations for dark-skinned. There were some, but they were often too ashy. Pat’s mother Jean, brought Pat when she went shopping for different shades of foundation, and then tried to mix her own shade. Pat says it was her mother who trained her in how she should think before her first fashion show:
– “Look at the colors, the fabric of the material. Look for the makeup of the clothes! “She said to Pat.

Nowadays, Pat McGrath is known for making all the important fashion shows. Her makeup looks for Prada, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Maison Margiela and John Galliano are now iconic.

She also contributes to the biggest advertising campaigns and fashion editorials around the world. She continually does work for US Vogue and Vogue Italia etc.

Pat McGrath had her breakthrough in the 1990’s when she, and former fashion editor Edward Enniful, took the English magazine I-D to an international level.

For many years, Pat McGrath has been the global creative design director for Procter and Gamble. She has not only created the makeup collections for Max Factor and Cover Girl, but also for Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci.
